	The keel of BRIDGEPORT (CA-127) was laid 13 January 

1945 by Bethlehem Steel Co., Quincy, Mass., but further 

construction was canceled 12 August 1945.



	[BRIDGEPORT was to have been an OREGON CITY class heavy 

cruiser.
