This list includes all surface combatants, submarines, mine warfare
vessels and patrol craft over 100 tons displacement, and all amphibious
ships and auxiliaries over 500 tons displacement. Non-self-propelled
craft and vessels without seagoing capability are not included.
Ships not yet commissioned, or in long-term overhaul/conversion, are
listed in [brackets]. Navigation and surface-search radars are not
listed. All designations & classifications are unofficial; they may or
may not correspond to "official" designations.

A new program for two large multipurpose surface combatants, intended
as expeditionary support ships. Will use modular weapons and systems
to adapt to various roles, including command, surface combatant,
mine countermeasures, humanitarian relief, and amphibious ship;
will have side and stern vehicle ramps and a large flight deck.

Displacement: 1,320 tons full load
Dimensions: 84 x 10.3 x 3.1 meters (275.5 x 33.5 x 10 feet)
Propulsion: 2 shafts; 1 cruise diesel, 4,800 bhp, 20 knots;
1 LM2500 high speed gas turbine, 26,600 shp, 30 knots

These are compact but relatively well armed frigate/corvettes.
Have recieved a new mid-life upgrade with new command system, VLS Sea
Sparrow, new radar.

Primarily meant for fisheries patrol, but make allowance for

8 Harpoon SSM, 2 point-defense SAM (i.e. RAM), two decoy
launchers, towed sonar array, SLQ-25 Nixie.

These are multirole patrol boats with can accomodate equipment
for a variety of roles. They can serve as gunboats, missile
boats, minesweepers (with drone minehunters), fast minelayers.
Also can serve as survey ships, oceanographic research ships,
buoy tenders, fisheries patrol ships, etc. Modules include 76 mm
OTO, cranes, minelaying, air defense (6 cell vertical launch
Sea Sparrow), antiship (4 Harpoon), torpedo (2 21 inch torpedo tubes),
mine clearance, EW, ASW.
