HMCS COMOX, one of four small trawler minesweepers patterned off a Royal Navy design that were built for the RCN just before the Second World War. The guns mounted on these ships would appear to have been recycled from VANCOUVER and CHAMPLAIN, two destroyers that were paid off and sold for scrap in 1936. DND Photo, courtesy of Bryan Q.
