ENDEAVOUR

(AGOR) oceanographic research ship

ENDEAVOUR was specifically designed to aid anti-submarine research programs undertaken by the Canadian Navy. Her hull was reinforced for operation in light ice conditions, and acoustic insulation was installed in the machinery spaces to dampen self-generated noise while testing sonar equipment. While technically a naval ship, she was civilian-manned.
