Stamford

A city in Connecticut.

The name Stamford was assigned to PF-95 on 30 August 1943. The Tacoma-class frigate was to be built under a Maritime Commission contract by the American Shipbuilding Co., Lorain, Ohio ; but her construction for the Navy was canceled on 31 December 1943.
